Consulting is a key ingredient to the FriedGreenCapital formula of business success. As outlined in the founder’s bio, McCreery has a diverse business and political consulting background that includes working for a U.S. President’s political campaign, working for the Mayor of New York at City Hall and a entrepreneurial career that includes the start-ups of more than 20 businesses involved in direct mail/printing, consulting, retail/import, real estate, document imaging and software development. McCreery believes consulting is the foundation of FriedGreenCapital. The firm does not make passive investments. FriedGreenCapital actively participates in expanding the base of skilled labor in the marketplace.

McCreery also gives of his time to many MetroJackson area non-profits as well as small business groups.  He is a founder and past Chairman/President of SafeCity (Mississippi’s only crime watchdog group), where he spent seven years improving public safety and security in Mississippi. In addition, he has served (or serves) as a Trustee at Hinds County Economic Development, board member of Boys and Girls Clubs of Central MS, BIPEC (Business and Industry Political Education Committee) and is a frequent lecturer for civic groups, MS Technology Alliance and other professional organizations.  In recognition of his community efforts, McCreery recently received the Mississippi Outstanding Volunteers for 2008 Award from Goodwill Industries.
